Taste sensations and nature

The French Département Dordogne is named after the river, which flows through the area and the entire Périgord Region. The Périgord Region is famed both as a heritage area of extraordinary natural beauty, rich in vineyards, walnut groves, expansive fields and little meadows, and as the delicatessen of France.

Tourists can purchase a range of culinary delights, such as AOC wines from the nearby Bergerac, from local country estates or retailers. Delicacies, such as fine mushrooms, truffles, aromatic cheeses and the goose liver, much prised by locals, can be found at the weekly market.

Nor do our guests have to travel far for practical and useful items from chemists and the like: everything needed for life and health is available within a 15 km radius.
